How can support at Hellmann look like? Alejandro will share his experience with you:
Alejandro, it’s great that you are sharing your insights with us. How has your career at Hellmann progressed so far?
I started at Hellmann in January 29, 2018. These past few years at Hellmann have been very productive for my professional and personal life. Starting at the bottom made me constantly learn functions in all areas of accounting and helped me in my professional growth. The knowledge I acquired and the commitment I showed made the company give me the opportunity to move up to assistant accountant and then to assistant billing clerk. I currently hold the position of Assistant of invoicing of Seafreight exports since 2022.
Sounds like an exciting journey! Do you remember how it first started?
I remember that my first day at Hellmann was very welcoming because I felt the affection of my colleagues and the support of my bosses. It was a very interesting day because they showed me how the company works and what they wanted to achieve as an organization. I feel that my first impression with Hellmann has been maintained to this day.
That’s great to hear that! And in these six years you’ve worked here, what has been your proudest moment so far?
My favorite moment was in 2022 I was chosen by my colleagues as employee of the year because I felt that all the effort and commitment I had made to the company was being recognized.
Employee of the year- that’s truly remarkable! And how would you describe what working at Hellmann is like?
Working at Hellmann is a constant learning experience because during all these years I have performed many functions in different positions in the area making me put into practice all my knowledge and being prepared for the constant challenges that arise.
What do you value the most about Hellmann as an employer?
What I value most about Hellmann as an employer is that when I have needed support for any reason they have always been willing to help me and give me the necessary support. They are always focused on the welfare of the employee.
We’re glad you feel supported! Could you tell us more about what support and collaboration at Hellmann looks like?
At Hellmann, collaboration and teamwork are one of the strongest points of the company, which shows the good workers who are willing to help at all times.
Sounds like the basis for some great team-work! How would you describe the team you work with?
I would describe my team as a family where there is trust, companionship and loyalty; where each person is a fundamental and important part for the success of the accounting department.
You have a great team then! Can you share one of your favorite moments with them?
The best memory I have of my team was when I was in very bad health because of Covid and they were there for me at all times, supporting me financially and mentally, which helped me a lot during my recovery. It was one of the most complicated moments I have ever experienced and where I realized who the people were that would be with me during my worst moments, and Hellmann was always there.
That is really heartwarming. If you had to sum it up, what does being part of Hellmann mean to you?
To be part of a company with a great international trajectory that has several offices around the world generating many growth opportunities for the workers since we are all united by the same network. It also means working with a great team of highly qualified professionals from whom you can learn and raise your professional level. And last but not least, working at Hellmann means being part of a family.
