Denver, thanks for sharing your experience with Hellmann! Your journey in the logistics industry started almost 22 years ago. How did you end up with Hellmann?
I was recruited by our HR colleague and a recruiter who did an impressive job and convinced me to join Hellmann.
So you had a good impression of the company and were convinced to apply. What was the impression when you actually started at Hellmann?
My first impression was amazing. There was genuine culture and spirit of caring. I joined on my second day in Saudi Arabia, which was a Sunday, coinciding with the FIFA World Cup Final. It was an amazing introduction to the Hellmann family by HR, which ended with watching the football game over pizza with my new colleagues.
And now you are here, working as a General Manager for Contract Logistics, Healthcare in Saudi Arabia. How would you describe your job?
As the General Manager for Contract Logistics in the healthcare industry, I am responsible for overseeing all aspects of outsourced logistics operations for pharmaceutical multinationals in the Kingdom. Additionally, I am responsible for the development of our Joint Venture, Care Supply Chain.
What excites you the most about your job and your job field?
The fact that we play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of life-saving medicines and equipment. Even minor disruptions can have significant consequences for patient care, making our roles very critical and highly impactful.
What was your best moment at Hellmann so far?
I have already had a few in the past 14 months, all of which centered around relationships. It is certainly the relationships developed with the Saudi Management Team, our JV Partners, Strategic Clients, and most importantly, my team.
Sounds like there is a great sense of collaboration. Is this something that makes working at Hellmann special to you?
What makes Hellmann special as an employer is the appreciation Hellmann has for its people! I really appreciate the environment of collaboration with diverse teams and Hellmann’s focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
What do you like the most about your team?
The collaboration, the sharing of ideas and expertise (especially concerning the expat life), and joint efforts in solving challenges.
