Let Ifeoluwa tell you, what she loves about working and growing with Hellmann:
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us, Ifeoluwa! How did you first end up at Hellmann?
I applied to work as an intern at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics to gain my first experience to the freight forwarding industry from May – July 2022 and was later retained as a full-time employee. I have been loving my growth and experience so far.
That must have been quite a big step! Could you tell us more about how your career has progressed since then?
My career in Hellmann has grown enormously and continues to grow. I work with a lot of incredible people who are always ready to support and challenge me to be the best version of myself. I was enrolled in the Introduction to Canadian Customs and Border Procedures certification program, which helped me learn more about my responsibilities at Hellmann. I plan to enroll in the second phase, Certified Customs Specialists, by August 2024.
That’s really inspiring! Could you tell us more about the position you currently hold and what you like about it?
My current job is Seafreight Import & Export Coordinator since August 2022. I am working in the Custom Brokerage department. I am fascinated by the unique intricacies of facilitating trade between Canada and other nations. I chose the job because it is incredibly fulfilling and gives me the chance to handle different shipments while ensuring seamless cross-border movement of various commodities and making all customers happy with our services. My interest in the field started while working with my manager (Gifty Kwaw), she was supportive, patient, and willing to help in any area I needed help with.
It's nice that you got to develop your interests like that! But how was it, when you first started? Do you still remember how your first day went?
My first day at Hellmann was beautiful. Everyone was welcoming, supportive and willing to help me settle in. I felt like I belonged, welcomed, and appreciated. I could feel the support, efficiency and coordination of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics from the moment I entered.
That is fantastic! And from your first day onward, what has working at Hellmann been like?
Working with Hellmann provides a fast-paced, dynamic workplace where accuracy, efficiency, agility are essential. Every day offers fresh chances and challenges for problem solving, which includes coordination with various truckers, warehouses and coordinating smooth border crossing of shipments.

Can you tell us more about the FAMILY? What does teamwork look like at Hellmann?
The collaboration and teamwork in Hellmann are very great. My team is made up of two people: My manager and me. It’s is incredible. I enjoy working with my teammate. My team is very supportive and always willing to help.
