Joseph Mokwena
Assistant driver
Johannesburg
Joseph, it is great that you are open to sharing your story. Maybe you could start by telling us how you ended up with Hellmann?
I started as a casual at Hellmann in 2012, initially serving as a general maintenance assistant. Through dedicated effort, I earned the respect and recognition of both management and staff, leading to my transition to a valued member of the Hellmann family since November 2013.
Wow, so you are part of Hellmann for such a long time! What is your current position and what responsibilities do you have?
I am a assistant driver. In this role, I drive a forklift in the warehouse, loading trucks with a pallet jack. Additionally, I handle cargo deliveries and communicate with clients directly when making truck deliveries. Moreover, I assist in making cargo draws at the airport for various airlines.
What excites you the most about your job and your job field?
What makes me happy about my job is that I learn new things every day and meet clients when I deliver the cargo.
As already mentioned, you are part of Hellmann since 2012. What was your first impression of Hellmann?
Hellmann's humble treatment of their employees was exemplary, and the teamwork was truly remarkable. Hellmann always puts our needs first.
What is the best memory of you and your team?
My best memory was how I was welcomed into the team.
My team is like family. We are working closely together and supporting each other.
