Nehal, it is great that you are open to sharing your story. Your journey in the logistics industry started after your studies. Where did your interest in this field arise from?
After completing my studies in Mass Communication, I initially pursued a career in public relations. However, I soon discovered my passion for logistics, particularly in optimizing information and workflow efficiency. I shifted my focus and took courses in supply chain management and operations to enhance my expertise. Joining a freight forwarding company, I delved deeper into various aspects of the supply chain. Over time, I assumed roles of increasing responsibility, leading teams to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiencies. While my career path may have been unexpected, I have found fulfillment and success in the dynamic and fast-paced world of logistics.
And you have been with Hellmann since 2021, right? What is your current job?
I am currently a Seafreight Import Manager. We strive for continuous development by enhancing our knowledge, skills, and value addition to our roles, aiming to provide exemplary service to our clients. We focus on process improvement to enhance work efficiency, thereby reducing costs and increasing profitability. Collaboration and teamwork are fostered through resource-sharing and workload distribution support. Prioritizing customer satisfaction, we consistently exceed expectations and go the extra mile to meet their needs. We stay updated with market services to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, offices, and shipping lines. Finally, we assess our progress and identify areas for improvement in our services.
Sounds like an interesting job! As already mentioned, you are part of Hellmann since 2021. What was your first impression of Hellmann?
Upon my initial impression of Hellmann, I discovered that many aspects aligned with my expectations. The company's reputation for excellence and commitment to innovation were evident in their presentation and work ethic. The team members I interacted with during the interview process were knowledgeable, professional, and exhibited a strong passion for their work.
To what extent did your first impression of Hellmann proved true?
As I became more involved with Hellmann and gained firsthand experience, I discovered additional layers and nuances that expanded my understanding of the company. I realized that the organization's dedication to continuous improvement and employee development exceeded my initial expectations, which was truly inspiring.

Talking about your team - How is your team made up? What is the team composition?
My team consists of two Seafreight Import Executives: one is responsible for uncontrolled business handled by origin offices and all documentation processes, while the other is in charge of controlled freight and customs clearance managed by our department.
And what is your team like? How would you describe your team?
My team is like a second family to me. We share both good and challenging times, but we have the same goals and are focused on our deadlines.
It sounds like you really like working at Hellmann but cross your heart - what about Mondays? Don’t you know that typical Monday feeling? Do you get over it quickly?
As mentioned before, Hellmann is like my second family, and I enjoy spending time with my colleagues. This camaraderie helps me overcome any tough days quickly.
