Air Freight Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating the day-to-day operation in the Air freight department. Handles and manages the daily activities of all operational functions ensuring client satisfaction is successfully achieved and company policies adhered.
Functions include but not limited to negotiating airline spot rates, scheduling consolidations, managing vendors, issue staff performance reviews and support the operations head
About the job

Handle day to day operations of the Air freight export department.

Work with Business / Operations head to establish long- and short-term business plans, objectives, and goals for the department.

Manage profitability and growth of department. Review and reconcile all management and financial reports for department.

Negotiations with carriers & origin offices to ensure best possible buy rates.

Provide proactive customer service for all clients handled by department.

Ensures continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies, reduce waste and improve performance to our customers.

Effectively manage any issues that arise within scope of responsibility. Lead resolution of difficult issues through effective skills.

Ensure complete customs compliance as per customs regulations.

Achieve and exceed all department KPI’s.

Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Manages the leave plan for staff members and ensures smooth operations.
About you
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline

Minimum 5-6 years of working experience in a similar role in Freight forwarding companies preferably in Kuwait.

Expected to be commercially sound and support sales in acquiring business.

Experience in CW1 and handling air consolidations is desirable.
