About the job
We are looking for a dedicated, energetic and experienced Key Account Manager - Vertical Lead for Hi-Technology to join our team on a full-time basis located in our Penang, Malaysia.
Bring your flexible, Can-Do attitude to work every day and enjoy being part of an amazing team. As well as having experience in a similar role, some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company's customer base.

Secure and retain target client accounts through professional, consultative sales activities.

Analyze various sectors with concentration on Hitech industry vertical and trends within the market industry in business segment, determine their impact on the business, design and execute the most appropriate market approach strategy.

Achieve growth and profitability targets in line with pre agreed annual targets.

Represent the best interests of the product in all internal / external meetings and negotiations

Develop account strategies with specific objectives and action items.

Grow project pipeline by prospecting, identifying and evaluating new opportunities.

Generate a monthly report citing overall value of pipeline vs. the agreed annual targets, weighted evaluation on ability to close and expected timelines.

Gather market data and competitive intelligence through customer interaction, key opinion leaders, regulatory bodies and other sources.

Remain current in market trends, technology and best practices, to ensure relevance when engaging with prospective customers.

Fully review and understand all RFI / RFQ / RFP requests, in order to work with the operational and solutions teams for a go – no go decision on opportunities.

Take an active lead in the RFI/RFQ/RFP negotiations in order to close the business. Highlight and escalate any support is needed either operationally or commercially to Head of Sales and Country Management.

Collaborate with the operational and solutions teams, develop operationally, commercially attractive solutions that exceed customer expectations.

Confidently understand, present and explain solutions in order to close the business.

Prepare and handover to implementation team after contractual agreement is finalized

Ensure the daily operational process of customer care for all secured accounts meet both the needs of the customers and the business.

Ensure timely update of customer’s records to ensure and resolve key clients’ issues and complaints.
About you
We will help you be successful in this role. To start you will need:

General Freight Forwarding/Sales Training
-
8 years minimum experience in freight forwarding industry.

Experience / Success in auto vertical projects and tender process management
-
Excellent negotiation skills
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Your professional presentation and communication skills, along with true passion for providing exceptional customer experiences will play a major role in achieving success, both professionally and personally.
