About the job

  • Receives notification of a new shipment from the Client or from an overseas office and, based on this, performs the follow-up
  • Performs the activation of loads with the origin office by email or Quick booking
  • Share booking instructions with origin
  • Checks shipment details together with customer, shares booking and requests NCM to declare
  • Checks HBL as per customer instructions and MBL sent by origin
  • Checks date on board as per booking
  • Notifies the customer in case of any delay and/or sends the PREALERT with confirmation of cargo in transit
  • Informs the commercial sector of the variations of the shipment so that they send the final quotation
  • Follows up cargoes in coordination for listed customers
  • Participates in meetings with customers
  • Control in CargoWase that what is declared in the system matches the HBL approved by the customer
  • Performs valuation in system: applies net and sales for shipment and control final estimated profit
  • Performs intercompany invoice control of each shipment (approval and/or dispute)
  • If there is any seal difference and/or bad condition, CSV initiates the discrepancy query with origin and follows up accordingly
  • Controls and avoids discrepancies in invoices

About you

  • Degree in international trade, logistics management or related field
  • Two years of previous industry experience
  • Completion of any industry related coursework is a plus
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management and prioritization
  • Customer focused
  • Adaptable / flexible to high pressure environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and internet
  • Proficient in world geography, shipping documentation and preferably Incoterms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as freight rates, discounts and other percentages
  • Analytical skills / problem solving ability
  • Leadership skills: able to train, coach and develop subordinates
